BACK TO TEAM PAGE

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.

To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

It was very rewarding participating in the challenge.  I had a significant impact on the beach and the ocean.  It was personally rewarding, and very nice to see so many others on the beach doing their part to clean our beaches and the ocean.

The beach was incredibly clean this morning - kind of a nice way to wrap up the Eco Challenge.  I will continue to walk the beach each morning while we are staying in NSB, doing my best to do my part to keep the beach and the ocean clean, removing plastic and other waste.

Equality for trans, femme, and nonbinary people is important because they are humans living on planet Earth. They are often treated worse than other members of society and much more likely to live in poverty and are subject to a greater amount of discrimination and violence.

Today, I attended a Zoom lecture from the University of York entitled, "The New Age of Empire: How Racism and Colonialism Still Rule the World." The author, Professor Kehinde Andrews stated there are only 160 black professors in England. There are 20,000 professors in the country. That was a gut wrenching statement.
