Today is our last day to play the People’s EcoChallenge. I would love to reflect on what we have all learned so far, and what we are currently in the process of learning still. Which action item has made the most impact on you? Share with me in the comments below.

This challenge was so awesome! I hope we do it again so I can work on other ways of being kinder to the earth, myself & others!

It has been a joy participating in this with everyone. May every day be the people's eco challenge. I know I didn't do everything I wanted to, so I have my work cut out for me moving forward... Here's to little changes, every day, and big ones, too!

My favorite “harsh” cleanser isn’t harsh at all! It’s made of ground cherry pits! It’s a very effective abrasive, but it smells like heaven. It’s by environmentally friendly brand Shaklee and called Scour Off. It’s pricey, but I’ve had mine for 10 years and still have plenty left!

Living simply, so we can all simply live. Recycling, buy nothing-only what is truly needed. Be in Nature. Be Kind, thankful, grateful.  Health to all and especially the planet Mother Earth, love and respect. Eco-Challenge Every day. Thank you.

Following up after the Live Q&A with Kahea, the Ceo of Women's Earth Alliance, I was inspired to create the Action item of how to calculate your carbon footprints. My footprint was 50 tons CO2/year. One thing I did notice more was that since I am vegan the amount of food contributions to Co2 were lower. What is your footprint? Find out how to calculate it here: https://www.nature.org/en-us/get-involved/how-to-help/carbon-footprint-calculator/

Enjoying the process very much and even though some days I forget to tune in and account for my challenge I am thrilled to see some new practices emerging like sitting on front perch with my cuppa and being in the garden.

I love that, Margaret! Right, a simple habit that is SUPER ENRICHING that never may have happened without a lovely prompt like this... You've inspired me... (specifically, when I smoked (gasp, I know, but I did: for a long time) I went outside and enjoyed my garden many times per day. without that bad habit, I also gave up the good one. You've inspired me to make the most of these last days and encourage the good one back... thank you!

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Nature Spend Time Outside
Rachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?

Yesterday I spent most of the day in the garden, adding compost to the soil and planting summer vegetables. I felt so enlivened at the end of the day even though a bit tired.
