Recent updates from this team-
October 28 at 12:10 PMThis challenge has legitimately changed some behaviors for me long term and has given me insights and education opportunities every single year - so I gladly participate. Thanks as well to all who selflessly partake in order to make our community better.
-
October 27 at 9:57 AMRunoff is a major contributor to pollution - so everything we use on our lawns, sidewalks and roofs (major chemical application locations) ends up in our water eventually. Being mindful of what you're sending in to runoff is an important part of your ecological contribution to your community.

October 27 at 7:22 AMYay! We made it to the end! It's great to see everyone's progress :)

October 27 at 7:19 AMI've been using a reusable water bottle for years now. My only barrier to using a reusable water bottle is remembering to take it with you. Since I was forgetting my water bottle at home, I bought one for work. Now I have two, one for work and one for home.
-
October 27 at 7:15 AMI didn't have a problem switching to a reusable coffee cup. I love my new cup, it holds more coffee and it keeps it nice and hot. I leave my cup at work so I don't forget it at home. I really enjoy using my reusable mug and knowing I'm making a difference for the environment.
-
October 27 at 7:09 AMI already do. I try my best to recycle everything. When I can't I try to find a good home for the items. If the item can't be reused, repair or repurposed, I then use Ridwell to recycle.
-
October 27 at 7:02 AMWhenever I don't have a reusable bag with me or I'm not allowed to use my own, I use the cart. I take everything to my car using the grocery cart. I always carry reusable bags in my car. Once I transfer my groceries to my bags I return the grocery cart to the store.
-
October 27 at 6:59 AMI replaced all my single used items with reusable, environmental friendly items. I love my insulated coffee cup that keeps my coffee nice and hot. I have several reusable bags in my car ready for grocery shopping. I completely gave up straws and use my reusable water bottle every day.
-
October 27 at 6:54 AMEnvironmental pollutants such as air pollution can cause health problems like respiratory diseases, heart disease and some types of cancers.
-
October 27 at 6:51 AMCommunities with limited nutritious food access tend to have less healthy diets and run a higher risk for chronic disease such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and some cancers. Having access to healthy foods can decrease chronic disease in our community.
