    Waste Personal Waste Audit
Why is it often difficult to understand the impacts our purchases and waste have on other people, animals, and places?

I think it's difficult to understand our personal impact because of our trash collecting privileges, when I carried around all of the waste I created for only one day, I was shocked at the amount of plastic packaging. Then looking around my community, there are trash cans everywhere, making it easy to toss garbage and not give it a second thought. I am really glad I did this, the visual was eye opening.

My body feels lighter with more energy, making it easier to be kind to others, all while helping minimize waste created by factory-farming animals.

    Waste Find Local Recycling Depots
Our ability to recycle certain things ebbs and flows based upon many factors, including market demand for recyclables. Luckily there are places that accept uncommon things to recycle or dispose of in a less harmful way. What did you find when looking for places to recycle items that can't be recycled in your curbside bin?

Styrofoam is a hard one to recycle! But New Seasons Markets recycles them if you bring it in.
