I will eat a heart healthy diet by adding 1 cup(s) of fruits and vegetables each day to achieve at least 4 cups per day.
Health
Exercise Daily

Exercise is a great stress blaster! I will exercise for 30 minute(s) each day.

Support Local Pollinators
Do at Home
At least 30% of crops and 90% of flowering plants rely on pollinators to produce fruit. I will spend 15 minutes researching which plants support local native pollinators and plant some in my yard.
Water
5-Minute Showers
Do at Home
I will save up to 6 gallons (23 L) of water each day by taking 5-minute showers.

Do at Home
I will find out what stocks and bonds are in my investment account portfolio to determine if they align with my values (e.g. environmental, social responsibility, community).
Simplicity
De-Clutter My Home
Do at Home
I will de-clutter, clean, and donate or recycle unneeded items in my home.
Simplicity

Michele Gordon 10/18/2021 2:52 PMWe were travelling this weekend but I was able to keep up my exercise and social media goal. This week I'll be back on track. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicitySocial media can keep us connected with loved ones, make us laugh, and help us to learn new things. It can also take more time than we realize or intend to give. After doing this action for a few days, how do you feel? What do you notice?
Michele Gordon 10/06/2021 9:01 AMI just started using the limiting feature on my cell phone and it does help. I feel less stressed and I purposefully chose more happy hashtags to follow.....like funny dog pictures....haha! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityIn what ways can you increase the positive impacts and decrease the negative impacts of your financial investments?
Michele Gordon 10/06/2021 8:56 AMEven as a small investor I want to decrease the negative impacts by divesting of fossil fuels and other companies related to fossil fuels-this may take more research as mutual funds and retirement funds can have a large list of companies that make up the fund. I have already purchased "socially responsible" funds in some of our accounts but I can increase the positive impacts by investing in new energy technologies, companies with sustainable practices and companies concerned with social justice.-
Michele Gordon 10/07/2021 9:30 AMI had heard the CSU was talking about it.....glad to hear they made the commitment! I was dismayed to learn that one of the stocks we have is part of the pipeline that the Native American tribes are fighting in the Midwest. That's the first to go! -
