Join Devaa Haley Mitchell in conversation with Clare DuBois, founder of Treesisters for a live Q&A called For The Love of Trees! During the dialogue, they’ll be discussing some of these themes: Why planting trees is so fundamental to healing our planet. What other practical actions can we each take to be the best possible stewards of our planet. How nature connectedness can transform your life and leadership. Why women are more disproportionately impacted by climate change than men. How the funds donated to TreeSisters are spent. Lastly, any answers to YOUR questions!

Margaret Abbott 10/22/2021 2:15 PMEnjoying the process very much and even though some days I forget to tune in and account for my challenge I am thrilled to see some new practices emerging like sitting on front perch with my cuppa and being in the garden.-
Lila Johnson 10/23/2021 1:59 PMI love that, Margaret! Right, a simple habit that is SUPER ENRICHING that never may have happened without a lovely prompt like this... You've inspired me... (specifically, when I smoked (gasp, I know, but I did: for a long time) I went outside and enjoyed my garden many times per day. without that bad habit, I also gave up the good one. You've inspired me to make the most of these last days and encourage the good one back... thank you!

REFLECTION QUESTIONNatureRachel Carson said that we need the beauty and mysteries of the natural world for our spiritual and emotional development. Does that ring true for you? What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time indoors?
Margaret Abbott 10/22/2021 2:12 PMYesterday I spent most of the day in the garden, adding compost to the soil and planting summer vegetables. I felt so enlivened at the end of the day even though a bit tired. -

Very inspiring and informative to witness actions everywhere, not just in my lens of the U.S., but in Australia, Indonesia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Bangladesh, Kenya, England, Netherlands...all over the world! -
