I stop taking utensils from my carry outs when I'm at home I just use one of my forks. I recycle the plastic bags for my church food ministry. I No longer use straws at all. Well, OK except when I'm driving. I take no carryout condiment packs when I'm at home. You have to start somewhere. Just get started being more aware of your own choices. Good Luck,

Last Saturday a few (3) people came to my door for a survey about absentee voting. I'm personal a HUGE fan of this process. It comes in the mail, I vote and then I drop it on the local voting box outside of my civic center offices. Their questions included. Had I been sent enough information on candidates and proposals on the current ballot?  Did I get my ballot in enough time to vote? Was the ballot open or closed or used before I open it? Were the instructions to vote clearly written? How it did I return it? I answered all the questions and thank them for even caring! I was very pleased that in the city in Michigan were I live someone was surveying vote restrictions and or issues of any kind. This was a first for me.  People are caring more and more and we are accountable to each other. Again, Do your part and watch what a differences it making! Good Luck.

----- Life MATTERS! Fill in the blank how you see fit. Everyone has to yes,  I stated EVERYBODY has to no matter how you identify do your part. Most and I stand by most of us leave to other people to save the earth. Awareness is all of our responsibility. Is life really meant for all of us to separate ourselves with titles? Or are we all human being which should be treated with respect and dignity and come together to save our plant? Tell me what you think?

Indigenous speaker and activist Winona LaDuke says that, "most indigenous ceremonies, if you look to their essence, are about the restoration of balance — they are a reaffirmation of our relationship to creation. That is our intent: to restore, and then to retain balance and honor our part in creation." Why is balance important to sustainability?

The planet was made for balance Land, Water & Air. To little or to much of any of these will affected our food growth, our animals, and us! Even in your own life if you work, play and relax too much other things suffer.  Peace in your soul helps you maintain everything that needs to be done in a time managed order. Same with life very important where you are on the food chain. How the water flows from river to oceans. How the land is ready for rest or ready to planting. Just that the culture of indigenous people have always had it right, But as a culture we took everything from them and now that we as a people have damage it we trying to listen on how it was maintained from the start.

Wow, your answer is spot on! We definitely need to get back to treating our Earth with respect like the indigenous always have. Balance is an important aspect in all areas of life.

This session the goals I set are very emotional for me. When your not sure or no interested in the details of things it keeps you not involved. As you become more aware of issues and or situations you are much more willing and hopefully able to support that cause in some way. Look in the details and see what you can be more support of on the behalf of others. Good Luck!

Knowledge is key to learning what needs to be done to encourage people of all races to band together to make changes. Air, Water, Land are all environments we use and misuse daily. That is the message! We need to start being aware that the things we buy, use and where and how we trash things matter. That our future world for our great grand children is really not looking good for their health.  No clean Air, Water and Land. Let the change start with you!

Each third Saturday my church Metropolitan Baptist Church in Detroit on 14th Street. Has a food giveaway. In the past we had 120 clients. With all the benefits the lower income families have we only feed about 40. This actually make us happy that something  is being done to support this effort. We also giveaway clothing. If you do get a job you must have a pair of black or khaki pants and aI white shirt. I'm grateful I can easy get these items but will do my best to see to it others have the some opportunity. Pray for us as we bridge the gap of food and what ever is needed. Find a way to to support your communities.

Detroit is actively working on the food dessert is was for years. This resulted in children hungry and not be able to do well in school or at play. Not healthy enough to put forward their best effort. I volunteer at Gleaners Food bank due to they current fighting for healthy bodies in Adults and children to connect healthy bodies with healthy brains which makes all of us able to do better. Support families feeding their children is a rich reward in my heart that one day one of these children will be able to be a value citizen to world.

If you are in the Michigan Tri-County area please watch channel 56 documentaries on Justice in America. Yes I personal feel these days is it very little justice being accounted for but per the law. All of us need a better understanding of what is stated as a law. So we can VOTE to change some of the 100 year old laws that are still on the books.
