REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity Research Restorative JusticeHow can Restorative Justice help foster the well-being of both people and planet?
Karen Quinn-Shea 10/24/2021 5:24 PMI researched JRJI (Jesuit Restorative Justice Initiative), which has the goal of restorative justice for inmates in our prison systems. Many of the inmates have similar backgrounds to immigrants, who need asylum. These individuals are treated like property and not humans. If there was the opportunity to listen to their stories, with respect and empathy, then true justice could possibly happen. With justice and respect, comes dignity, which is good for all people and our planet. -
Karen Quinn-Shea 10/10/2021 8:28 AMGreat to be on this ecochallenge with you all. I have had the goal for a while to meditate 20 minutes twice/day and yesterday it actually happened, because of this ecochallenge. I also slept more because of one of the daily goals. I look forward to more challenges where I reach out to help others, including our beautiful earth. Cindy, thanks so much for the invite!-
Cindy Jayne 10/11/2021 9:13 PMKaren - thanks for joining! And we'll have to compare notes on the sharing economy, I have that one on my list too!
