REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthHow do you practice self care?
Joi Taylor 10/27/2021 2:06 PMI was way behind in all my regular checkups, but all have now been scheduled for the rest of the year! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicitySocial media can keep us connected with loved ones, make us laugh, and help us to learn new things. It can also take more time than we realize or intend to give. After doing this action for a few days, how do you feel? What do you notice?
Joi Taylor 10/27/2021 6:11 AMThis is something I've been doing for awhile, so making a conscious effort to reduce it even more was interesting. I've found that it has helped reduce my stress, I have more time to read an actual book, and I sleep better. I connect (via phone or text) with the people who I want to be most connected to and don't stress about having to know what everyone else in my realm of consciousness are doing 24 hours a day. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityHow might practicing work-life balance lead to a more sustainable life for yourself? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How do your eating experiences differ when practicing mindfulness?
Joi Taylor 10/27/2021 6:07 AMThis is harder to do than you realize. It makes you focus on your thoughts and enjoy the process of preparing and eating. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and RenewalWhat was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation(s) benefit from active listening?
Joi Taylor 10/27/2021 6:05 AMIt's more fulfilling to actively listen. Conversation is much more productive. -
Joi Taylor 10/25/2021 3:49 PMGoing great! While we already pay close attention to our environmental impact efforts, I've learned a lot about ways we can do better, especially in areas I had never thought about.
