Wendy Olmstead 10/21/2021 9:25 AMAs we are in an ongoing drought with no end in sight, our region/household can replace lawns with drought-tolerant plants, replace appliances/showerheads/toilets with water-efficient models, and stop washing our cars so frequently. -

Access to nutritious food helps communities to deal with issues like the pandemic through lowered levels of obesity and co-morbidities that make people more vulnerable to the virus. -

Wendy Olmstead 10/18/2021 11:36 AMCommunities of color, low-income, and indigenous communities are most impacted by environmental degradation because their homes are located closest to pollution and landfills and they are least able to afford relocation and lack funds to deal with air and water pollution in their homes. Flint, Michigan is a prime example of this. -
