Marti Mendenhall 10/27/2021 3:00 PMOMG! Only just a big left in this challenge! I'm really hoping our teammates step-it up. We ONLY have about a 3 point spread in between us and another group. Just a few more updates and we might have them! Muwaaahhhhh. For me, the competition has really pushed me to reach higher and do more, inlcuding homework at night and early morning hours. I'm gald for that! -
Marti Mendenhall 10/27/2021 7:04 AMOK - I can't figure out how to see where we are in relation to other teams. All I see is waypoint. I can't do this by myeslf, team!!! I think we are tied with Waypoint? Help me figure it out?-

Marti Mendenhall 10/27/2021 6:58 AMWell, it's 6:56 am and I've finally completed the rest of my 21 One-Time Challenges. It's too early for my walk, or my joyful 20 minutes. Does filling out these challenges and moving my team up the ranks count as joyful movement? Probably not. lol But hey, I'm pretty proud of myself for cranking out some pretty challenge actions. I'm actually looking forward to doing this again next year. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterHow does your view on water consumption change after completing this action?
Marti Mendenhall 10/27/2021 6:53 AMI'm going to look into a low-flow faucet for my kitchen sink. I'm also going to replace the 1/2 bath toilet by January 1st! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Justice for the Whole CommunityWho is most affected by environmental degradation and/or environmental irresponsiblity in your community? How are they affected?
Marti Mendenhall 10/27/2021 6:35 AMI can't say who is most affected by environmental degradation, because I believe WE ALL ARE the victimes here. It freaks me out to see how much pollution there is literally next door! I have a hard time seeing animals in perril on the tube, so you can imagine how I feel about realizing humans are in perril as well. I can hardly stand it, and this has been the hardest challenge for me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Justice for the Whole CommunityWhat are the ways in which voters are prohibited from or discouraged from voting in your region and/or state? What could be done to get rid of these barriers?
Marti Mendenhall 10/27/2021 6:27 AMSome way people are discouraged from voting are not being able to vote-by-mail and protesters/bullying in lines. I'm not sure that the bullying happens in my state. I am sure, however, that social media has helped divide us as a country. From what I've read, some of the bigger social media outlets have done more damage than good in politics. I am heartened to hear that these issues are being discussed in the media today. -
Marti Mendenhall 10/27/2021 6:21 AMToday I am grateful for my cat, Ripley - named after Ellen Ripley. Name that movie? I am also grateful for Pumpkins, because they're fun. And I'm grateful for Halloween. The ONE time of year, when I was a kid, where I got to BE anything I wanted to be. To Dream. Love Halloween becuase of that. Anyway - since this is our last day, I'm going to wish us all a Happy Halloween! May you have the power to dream and BE all you want to be! -
Marti Mendenhall 10/27/2021 6:19 AMWell - my personal eco-challenge has been going pretty well. Better than expected, actually. There is this competition with my co-workers which has really driven me higher. But I really haven't come out on top very much. That's kind of hard for me to take! I would have like to have won a bit more in our daily challenges. But in the end, I'm glad my co-workers have pushed me to be stronger, better, faster. (We have the technology. lol) Name that show? -
Marti Mendenhall 10/26/2021 3:31 PMI can't believe this is almost over! I have so much research to do tonight. sigh . . . But onward!
