REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodMichael Pollan states that “it is better to pay the grocer (our edit: or the farmer!) than the doctor.” What are your thoughts on this assertion?
Hanorah Lucas 10/10/2021 7:07 PMIt's better to heal the source than wait for things to get bad enough for someone else (the doctor) to fix it. By taking care of ourselves from the start, we are helping ourselves in the long run. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
Hanorah Lucas 10/10/2021 7:06 PMIt is not difficult to choose other activities over screen time once you learn things you enjoy doing--whether it's something active like a sport or working out or something passive like art or reading. I chose to spend my time reading and creating art, as well as spending quality time with friends. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityHow can you prevent yourself from accumulating more things in the future?
Hanorah Lucas 10/10/2021 7:04 PMSitting down and genuinely contemplating the pros and cons of each and every item that comes into your life -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityIn what ways can you create more real and meaningful interactions with friends — or strangers — each week?
Hanorah Lucas 10/10/2021 7:04 PMGoing out of your way in order to help someone else out, or to discuss something that is meaningful to them
