Throwing out $1,500 a year on food does not surprise me at all. I used to hate eating leftovers and would regularly throw out food. I realized how wasteful this is though and started trying to plan a little bit better with meal prepping. Obviously some foods reheat better than others. Keeping your sauces/condiments/dressings on the sides help. I would rather use the money for travel and putting into savings.
