REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergyAfter you determined your carbon footprint, did you see what different choices you can make in order to reduce it?
Katherine Adye 10/27/2021 9:38 AMThere are lots of different lifestyle choices that contribute to a carbon footprint. Some of them are more obvious (driving a car, taking long flights), while some of them are less so (diet and food choices). The calculator was a good starting point in thinking about the different ways that my carbon footprint could be reduced. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthWhat's your favorite activity(ies) in which you experience joy while being active and moving?
Katherine Adye 10/27/2021 9:34 AMMy joyful movement for this challenge has been morning yoga. It feels good to stretch a bit before sitting down at my desk for the day. I've also recently gotten a hula hoop so I have another way of having fun while moving. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityMindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How do your eating experiences differ when practicing mindfulness?
Katherine Adye 10/27/2021 9:31 AMEating mindfully means I focus on what I'm eating and how it tastes. If I'm distracted (phone, TV, etc.) I tend to go on autopilot and before I know it I'm done eating without even thinking about what I just ate. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterHow does your view on water consumption change after completing this action?
Katherine Adye 10/25/2021 12:15 PMI've always been aware of how much water I use at home and try to conserve it, but I didn't realize how much water was used virtually. Food production (especially meat) uses a ton of water and it's something you never really think about.
