    I prefer to take group classes at the gym I go to for exercise. This allows me to spend time with people from my community. When the weather is nice, I enjoy going on walks in my neighborhood with friends. We especially love to walk along the lake path in the city. I definitely want to start checking out other popular paths in Chicago and the suburbs.

    Simplicity Less Screen Time
    What did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?

    Implementing less screen time is difficult. With spending all day on the computer due to work, it is especially important to me to reduce screen time at night. Some things I love to do without my phone include walking my dog, going to a fitness class, and cooking dinner. I recently added time limits to specific apps and this has really helped me cut back on screen time.

    I had a fresh baguette that was about to be stale, so I tried making homemade croutons for the first time. All that is required is cubed bread coated in olive oil and your choice of seasoning baked for 15-20 minutes at 375. So easy and yummy! Definitely something I will do in the future to reduce food waste.

    I hope everybody had a great first day of the ecochallenge yesterday! Today I am going to focus on getting outside for at least a half hour despite the rain and will also be trying a new vegan recipe! What is everybody else up to?
