Nick Oelrich 10/26/2021 8:09 AMI found the actions I selected to be more difficult than I expected. But even if I didn't accomplish them every day, the biggest take away was that I am thinking about my impact and thinking of ways to reduce my impact moving forward. -
Nick Oelrich 10/14/2021 10:43 AMI finally got down to a five minute shower! It made me seriously think about the amount of time and water I waste. It's tough to get down to that fast, I had to be super efficient with time. But it worked! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWater 5-Minute ShowersName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Nick Oelrich 10/14/2021 10:40 AMI can help improve water quality by using non chemical lawn and garden weed control. I can also watch for leaks in my car, so that automotive chemicals don't run off into storm water systems. I can use non chemical compostable washing detergent. I can use non chemical compostable soap in the shower! -
Nick Oelrich 10/08/2021 11:03 AMI haven't been able to get down to a 5 minute shower yet! but I'm trying! -
Nick Oelrich 10/06/2021 8:12 AM5 minute shower is harder than it sounds! -
Nick Oelrich 10/05/2021 3:11 PMI'm excited to start! I chose a couple reasonable daily actions. I'm going to try to start composting our food waste. But I'm excited about my one time actions. Planting a tree! -
