Forgiving others as well as yourself feels like a weight is lifted. I am much happier not carrying anger or ill feelings.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

As I get older it becomes more important to keep my mind engaged and not spend so much time watching television or on my phone. I enjoy playing games that challenge me to be strategic. Love making memories laughing with others.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Waste Go Paperless
Reducing your paper mail can reduce mental clutter as well as physical waste -- by reducing what is coming in, you can reduce what is going into the recycling bin too. How does it make you feel? What is the next step you will take to reduce your waste?

I have been doing bill pay for years but just recently changed all my bills to auto pay or paperless. I like not having to rely on the mail service to receive my bill or send off a check and wait for it to clear. I will continue to look for other opportunities to reduce junk mail received.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water 5-Minute Showers
Name some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?

With today being National Drug take back day it is important to dispose of medicine correctly  and not flushing it. We as a society need to dispose of all trash properly and not let it get into any water systems.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?

Being grateful allows me to focus on the positives in life instead of the negatives.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

Before this challenge I felt like I needed a treat and loved processed food. Changing my diet I have found that I do not miss the processed foods after a few days and I feel so much better.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

My bestie and I take our dogs to our favorite park for walks. Not only getting in our steps but spending time around trees and water. In about another month the turning of the leaves will be gorgeous.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Waste Use a Reusable Water Bottle
While water bottles are needed for health and safety in certain places, we can do more to reduce the unnecessary use of them. What are the barriers to you using reusable bottles and tap water instead of bottled water? How could you make this a permanent habit?

Plan ahead when out and about. I have a large water bottle that I can take cold water and leave in car and refill my smaller water bottle so I don’t have to buy bottled water.
