So here at SRCI our IT department has the computers automatically set up to go into sleep mode to save on power.

I can open my curtains to heat my house while it's a cool but sunny day.

I actually did this months ago.  I checked in with my power Provider and they offered a free kit of energy saving bulbs to replace the ones I had.  Check with your power company and see if they have the same program.

I learned a long time ago that turning down the temperature just a couple of degrees on my water heater makes a huge difference in my power bill.  There are usually two thermostats on the side of the water heater that you need to adjust.

One of things I found long ago was that adjusting your temperature to higher in the summer and lower in the winter is that you become aclaimated in a short time and don't really notice the difference.

The advantage to not driving my car so much. What a difference in my pocket and for the air.
