    I just learned shredded paper can be "contamination" if your recycling program isn't set up for it. Yikes!

    Like many places, the impacts from redlining can be seen. There's multiple factors at work, but this is a big one that led to some areas having concentrations of factors that stand in the way of progress for those who live there, as well as poor living conditions.

    A way to make the world a better place and, ideally, still use those funds to support myself.

    Model responsible stewardship with children. I grew up knowing that we didn't throw paper away until it was completely used up - there was a scratch paper stack for spelling practice, notes, etc. I do the same in my home (although now we recycle the completely used up paper).

    It's easier to see the details when walking since there's more time to really look at things. And there's less risk of creating an accident if I take my eyes off the path ahead of me. It's also usually a lot less stressful - no traffic, other people aren't creating problems.

    Spreading the word about wish-cycling is the most challenging part for me. We have single-stream recycling which is convenient, but I know most people don't understand that you can't just throw anything in there just because it's made of "plastic".

    Our family uses neighborhood walks to get more activity, enjoy nature, and connect with each other. As a bonus, we also have an opportunity to catch up with neighbors we wouldn't otherwise see.
