Though I did not get to take action during this Ecochallenge, this remains on my action list. I think I know where to start.

Wow, I just looked at the environmental justice map tool provided. What St. Louis calls the Delmar Divide and East St. Louis are starkly clear. These areas have the least wealth and are the most densely populated with people of color. In addition, these areas tend to have the most health risk from an EJ perspective.

I buy coffee out sometimes and it's hard to avoid the disposable cup. I reduced my trips, only took a lid when I was on the go, never accepted a straw, and was sure to rinse and recycle the lid.  Also, I do not use plastic vegetable bags at the grocery store. I was able to mostly get my partner to avoid these for our household too.

Scheduled call with dear friend whose father passed away a few months ago, and caught up. Wonderful experience for both of us

Today I didn't get very far on my goals, but I'll try again tomorrow.

Treated myself to a tour of the Missouri Botanical Garden's new Oertli Family Hardy Plant Nursery. Very impressive operation with 450,000 plants representing over 350 native species (I think I got those facts right!). Also a seed bank that is tornado and earthquake "proof" that store seeds at -20C, extending their ability to be grown...

Grateful to be part of a team that cares about many of the same things that I do!

My favorite movement activity? Definitely dance cardio workouts. They're joyful, energetic, and put me in a much better mood.
