REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and RenewalHow does being playful with others enrich your life?
Denise Wendell 10/20/2021 9:47 AMWe love finding new ways to spend quality time with our boys who are growing up way too fast. We enjoy playing new board games with them and our extended family. We even found ways to play games with our family that live in another state. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityWhat did you notice in implementing this challenge? Was it hard to choose other activities over screen time? How did you decide to spend your time?
Denise Wendell 10/09/2021 6:57 AMI actually really enjoy this challenge because it can be so easy to spend hours staring at a screen, whether at the television or at my phone. I spend this time away from screens to read, letting myself get engulfed in a good thriller is something I enjoy. I also like to draw and I've also considered teaching myself how to play a new instrument. Hoping that I can encourage my family to join in on this with me. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterName some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?
Denise Wendell 10/06/2021 9:18 AMAt home, I try and encourage my family to limit time in showers, to turn the faucet off while brushing teeth or washing the dishes. I also consolidate laundry to limit the amount of loads I do weekly. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteMaybe you've heard how good it is to switch from a single use coffee cup to a reusable one, but it's just hard to make the switch. What stands in your way of making this a habit? By identifying the challenges, you can begin to work through them to have better success in taking this action. Knowing the difference you are making, how does it make you feel?
Denise Wendell 10/06/2021 9:01 AMFor the last 5-6 years I have an active effort to bring my own cups, whether for my favorite drink at Starbucks or water to hydrate all day, I have two cups in hand
