REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodAn average American throws out about 240 lbs of food per year. The average family of four in the US spends $1,500 a year on food that they throw out. Does this surprise you? Where would you rather use this money?
Jackie Luehmann 10/18/2021 7:21 PMNo, this does not surprise me. I am surprised the numbers are not higher with how Americans view spending, preparing and budgeting. Our busy lives get in the way of preparing and then we end up wasting. I would rather use the money saved on improvements to my house and my retirement account.
