    Ha ha...that was fun getting soaked raking up leaves today...despite my regular raking though, the gravel placed on the road above me is clogging the drain...can't figure out who to call. Figured out that its maintenance...but I've called 3 times last season already...and nothing happened...

    I adopted one block (https://www.adoptoneblock.org/) and have been caring for my block for over a month now. During that time, neighbors have stopped and thanked me. I always tell them about the program (free grabber, bucket, gloves, and sharps sent to your home) and apparently, 7-8 other blocks adjacent to mine have been adopted now! Sometimes your work does make a difference that you get to see--I find it so fulfilling that so many blocks have been adopted around me. Before I started, no blocks were adopted!
