    So far this October, I've volunteered with the local Land Trust, planted three oak trees with other volunteers, switched my thirty year old electric furnance to a heat pump, and switch to the green energy package offered by my utility. Oh, and we are talking green in the budget cycle at work too. Go green Columbia!
