Madeline DesRosiers 10/15/2021 8:58 AMMy ecochallenge is going well. I didn't realize just how much of my homelife is revolved around a screen. I am now trying to be more conscious about that and replace some of the time with tech-free activities. I normally practice gratitude in the form of verbal communication, so writing it down or sending an email has been hard to remember. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONSimplicityHow does being playful with others enrich your life?
Madeline DesRosiers 10/11/2021 7:53 AMIt enriches my life by allowing me to have quality time with those that I love without screens interfering. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
Madeline DesRosiers 10/08/2021 8:00 AMI am a firm believer in that your mind controls how you see the world. When one focuses more on negative aspects of life, the more negative the outlook. But when gratitude is practiced, it has the power to make an individual more positive and more motivated. This in return, can make an individual more willing to make a positive difference. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterHow does your view on water consumption change after completing this action?
Madeline DesRosiers 10/08/2021 7:55 AMI was really surprised at how much larger my outdoor and virtual water usage was compared to indoor. When I think of water usage, I think of showers and not letting the faucet run when I'm brushing my teeth. I was shocked that eating meat was the largest portion of my water consumption. Going forward, I will be more mindful about this and think more about virtual water usage.
