Naomi Camargo 10/27/2021 9:26 AMThe Ecochallenge has been a great exercise for me this year. I put some priorities on my list and got myself out of my typical routines. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and RenewalWhat was it like to actively listen to someone? How did both people and the conversation(s) benefit from active listening?
Naomi Camargo 10/27/2021 9:25 AMActive listening is a true discipline to be learned and practiced. It is hard to fully concentrate on what the other person is saying rather than being lost in my own thoughts. Practicing active listening is a gift of respect I can give to others, and when I do, I usually learn something. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodWhat is one food choice that you make, or could make, that would do more good and less harm?
Naomi Camargo 10/27/2021 9:23 AMA doctor once advised me that people are their healthiest when they eat the food of the region in which they live. Purchasing from a Farmer's Market ensures I do just that. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and RenewalHow has the process of forgiving, or contemplating forgiveness, benefited you?
Naomi Camargo 10/27/2021 9:22 AMForgiveness is so powerful! Though harboring resentment can feel like it holds something over another person's head, the truth is it is poison when I keep it in me. I have been forgiven much, and it is my responsibility to forgive others. Sometimes this is a long process, while other times it require a simple act of humility to get over my own pride. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and RenewalWhat are your top 3-5 core values? How did you narrow it down to those as being your core values?
Naomi Camargo 10/27/2021 9:20 AMFaithfulness to my Savior
Mindful family investment
Be a better friend this year than I was last year (every year this is my New Year's Resolution) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterWhat would a sustainable water future in your region look like? What needs to change?
Naomi Camargo 10/27/2021 9:18 AMWe have much water here in the Pacific NW. It is my hope that our community member and leaders are responsible and accountable in how we use it. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealthHow do you practice self care?
Naomi Camargo 10/27/2021 9:17 AMA true focus on better sleep and being diligent to practice my faith and the disciplines that come through that. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and RenewalHow does/can practicing gratitude keep you centered and motivated to work for a better world?
-
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and RenewalConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What are you finding works for you to be successful in this action?
Naomi Camargo 10/24/2021 12:10 PMI often take my phone to bed to "wind down" by scrolling through a few things. I've decided to go to bed and leave my phone alone until morning- at least a few days per week. I sure this will help with overall quality of sleep. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and RenewalHow does being playful with others enrich your life?
Naomi Camargo 10/24/2021 12:08 PMThey say laughter is the best medicine, and indeed a good belly laugh seems to bring nutrition to the soul. Game night with my family is always good for a belly laugh.
