REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergyWhat are other easy things you could do to save energy and reduce your environmental footprint?
Tanesia Butterfield 10/27/2021 2:56 PMStart piling on the blankets and hoodies instead of cranking the heat! I tend to like a very warm home but limiting the thermostat helps more than just my budget. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and RenewalHow can you, your loved ones, the community, and environment all benefit from constructive communication?
Tanesia Butterfield 10/27/2021 2:54 PMWe can all benefit from communicating constructively because breaking out of the barrier of your own ego is always helpful. We get so wrapped up in our own thoughts and ideas that having a healthy reminder of someone else's version of reality is grounding, or, it can be. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and RenewalHow has the process of forgiving, or contemplating forgiveness, benefited you?
Tanesia Butterfield 10/27/2021 2:51 PMIt has allowed me to move past feelings of anger directed at myself and others and unburdens me from feelings that really only affect me. It can be difficult to do but creating and sustaining an attitude of forgiveness has helped a lot in my personal life. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityWhy is voting important to creating a just, sustainable, and thriving world? In what other ways can you actively participate in important decision-making?
Tanesia Butterfield 10/27/2021 2:49 PMVoting for people and policies the encourage and support programs is one of the only ways that we as little people on the ground can make a difference in the bigger picture. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWasteHow can you express your personality, creativity, and values in ways that don't require fast fashion or buying more clothes and accessories?
Tanesia Butterfield 10/27/2021 2:46 PMReworking clothing that has been in the corners and in the closets is always fun and reminds you of the things that you forgot that you had. I feel like every time I dig out a box there is something I swear I lost ages ago that I can mix into my every day things. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONNatureHow can spending more time outdoors enhance your sense of place -- your deep knowledge of and appreciation for your surroundings?
Tanesia Butterfield 10/27/2021 9:47 AMBeing in nature reminds us that we are small parts of something much bigger. It's helpful to remember that there is a world that actually matters and exists outside of our electronics and computers and commutes. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONAction Track: Healing and RenewalHow does being playful with others enrich your life?
Tanesia Butterfield 10/26/2021 9:24 AMBeing playful helps to loosen when things get too serious. It's easy to get lost in adulting and worrying and playing helps shake that up. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWaterHow does your view on water consumption change after completing this action?
Tanesia Butterfield 10/26/2021 9:22 AMSee ing the water usage rise and rise was honestly horrifying. I had NO IDEA that so much water went into producing everything, I don't think about that impact as much. Wow! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEnergyAfter you determined your carbon footprint, did you see what different choices you can make in order to reduce it?
Tanesia Butterfield 10/26/2021 9:15 AMLooking into more renewable methods of energy with my current provider can help to lower my footprint. We can also walk or ride bikes more, especially to run small errands that are close. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONFoodWhat is one food choice that you make, or could make, that would do more good and less harm?
Tanesia Butterfield 10/25/2021 9:19 AMEating more fresh and local vegetables each week instead of frozen or canned items.
